Designing an office space nowadays is not as straightforward as you’d think.
You might want an open space la-out to promote collaboration between co-workers, but those employees might also like some privacy.
Did you know that fabrics could solve that question?
FR-One fabrics actually also have strong sound-absorbing qualities. Besides being fire retardant, many score A/B in the “extremely absorbent” category, tested under ISO 354-11654.
Our fabrics can be used as curtains, fabric wall panels and even as textile panels underneath desks to dampen the sound levels.
Most FR-One designs are washable at 71°C, which is the American hospitality standard. This is a great advantage when you are working with high-traffic spaces like an office: you can wash the fabrics at a germ-killing temperature.
The Nieuw Administratief Centrum (NAC) in Brasschaat (Antwerp) used to be a printing office, way back. They renovated the whole building and housed the NAC there, which acts as a campus for the community and OCMW.
In the new office, you’ll find front and back office spaces, meeting rooms, a printing room and an underground parking space.
O-Architecten directed this project beautifully, choosing FR-One fabrics for the drapery in their meeting rooms.
